Guest Speaker: Ziv Koren
Through his unique perspective, Ziv Koren’s camera lens has documented historical events and humanitarian issues in Israel and around the world for many years, but nothing prepared him for the events of October 7, 2023. One thing he definitely knew – he had to go into the field. So Ziv took his camera, got on his motorcycle, and was one of the first photographers to document that terrible day under fire and amidst a heavy fog of uncertainty.
Since October 7, Ziv Koren's efforts have been dedicated to documenting the events in various locations, and his work provides a powerful, unique, and immediate testimony from the kibbutzim, communities, and cities surrounding Gaza. Each photo tells a different and powerful story of memory, pain, and mourning alongside heroism, renewal, and hope.
It would be an honor for all of the Weber community to hear Ziv and his journey since October 7th.
