The Weber Rambots recently traveled to Gainesville, GA, to compete in the First Tech Challenge Georgia State Championship—their first time at the state level since the 2020-2021 season! After weeks of refining and reconfiguring their robot, Rupert, the team faced intense competition, battling through five rounds of match play in pursuit of a playoff spot and a chance to advance to the FTC World Championship.
While their journey ended at State, the Rambots ranked 27th in Georgia—a remarkable achievement, considering over 100 teams competed throughout the season! Their dedication, problem-solving, and perseverance (even through snow days, shipping delays, and last-minute equipment failures!) made this season a great success.
Kol Hakavod to team members Blake Cohen, Drew Kaufman, Noah Leavitt, and Elliot Sturisky for representing Weber on the competition floor and to Layla Magnus and Isaac Friedberg for their contributions throughout the season.
