The Weber School’s robotics team, the Rambots, kicked off their season with an impressive performance at their first meet this past Saturday at Marist. Winning 4 out of 5 matches, the team finished the day ranked 5th out of 31 competing teams—a testament to their hard work and dedication in preparing for this event.
Leading the charge, student leaders Noah Leavitt, Drew Kaufman, and Blake Cohen went the extra mile (literally) by taking the robot, affectionately named Omniman, home to ensure it was fully functional for the competition. Their efforts, along with the support and guidance of Computer Science Teacher and faculty advisor Cathey Chapman, have been instrumental in the Rambots' growth.
Kol Hakavod to the entire Rambots team: Jay Berkman, Tillie Blanc, Blake Cohen, Isaac Friedberg, Drew Kaufman, Noah Leavitt, Layla Magnus, Beau Pomerantz, Benji Robins, Elliot Sturisky, and Alexander Tyryshkin.
