Kol Hakavod, Gabby Lyon!
Kol Hakavod to Sports Science and Management Academy teacher Gabby Lyon, who recently had her high school basketball jersey retired at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, TN. Gabby's jersey now hangs alongside fellow Science Hill alum and legendary coach, Steve Spurrier.
During her remarkable high school career, Gabby never lost a conference game in four seasons on varsity. She earned numerous accolades, including 1st Team All-Conference, All Upper East Tennessee, and All-State. Gabby helped guide the Hilltoppers to three state tournament appearances and two runner-up finishes while setting a state record for single-season field goal percentage at 68% in her junior year. Gabby continued her basketball journey at Middle Tennessee State University, where she lettered all four years as a Lady Raider.
We’re incredibly proud of Coach Lyon for this well-deserved recognition and for the dedication and leadership she brings to our athletic program at Weber!
