Welcome, Shinshinim!

A big Weber welcome to Noga, Dana, and Amit, our 2024-2025 Shinshinim! These energetic and engaging Israeli teens are spending their gap year between high school and the Israeli army, sharing their love for Israeli life, culture, and ruach (spirit) with our school community. Their presence is part of a broader effort, through the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and the Jewish Agency for Israel, to foster meaningful connections between Jewish Atlanta and Israel.

Under the guidance of Keren Ben-Haim, M.Ed., Hebrew Teacher and Israel Campus Programming & Shinshinim Coordinator, our Shinshinim will work closely with students, teachers, and families to bring Israel to life at Weber. Noga, Dana, and Amit will play a pivotal role in leading our 10/7 program and planning and supporting our Tekes (ceremonies) for Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut. They will also participate in various Israel-focused programs, engaging students through classroom discussions, cultural activities, and holiday celebrations, helping our students build a deep, lasting relationship with Israel.
